  Madagascar

Today, I finally went in cinema to watch the Mad. I managed to find some time back from September 8th when it started showing here in Belgrade.

After more than four months of being completely in the world character animation cause of AM, it was interresting for me to watch an animated feature from this perspective. "Wait, wait, how they will do overlapping on the Melman's neck (when it's so stiff)?... Wow, aaawesome." etc. It's one fine and funny piece of movie that's full of study material for animators. ;)

After the film has ended, I stayed alone in the empty hall waiting to see the animation credits and I was waiting and waiting... and was waiting a load of time to see a list of animators on an animated feature. And than it rolled up. :) The list was huge and unfortunately I didn't manage to find Jason Schleifer, one of my animation superstars. :( Yet, there I catched Ethan Hurd! Ha-haaa!

Still there was one more name I was eagerly waiting for to see it. Aaaand than... Section 'Additional animation' appeared and guess who was the first on the list?? My fiiirst mentor Bill Diaz!!! Some very strong and strange feeling of happiness overhelmed me. huhh I was totally blown off so I kept smiling all the way home. :)

  Class 2 Session 4 Assignment

Class 2 Session 4 Assignment

Well, this one scared a shoot out of me when I read the syllabus for the first time. I knew from the 'elder' fellows that we'll have a weight push assignment but I was in doubt will I be able to do it fine. Such things as doubts occurs ocassionally but since we adopted those as an unavoidable part of the learning process - I'm fine now, thanks. :))

Class 2 Week 3 - The antic, the march and the lesson

Well... I have finally finished this assignment after a whole week of work, several sleepless nights, tons of coffee and Coke etc. Please see below.

There are many issues that can be improved and I am aware of this but... Such things just keep popping all the time during the process. :) I learned a ton from this assignment regarding timing, arcs, anticipation, moving holds etc. and what is most important - planning! Of course, that great walkthrough lesson by Rick O'Connor and his Evil Clone Rick helped a lot!

There is one thing that I found probably interresting to a larger audience. :P When someone (ie. your character hehh) is turning the head to wink at somebody, it will do with the eye that is closer to the viewer. An example follows. ;)

The story behind is that some lazy soldier suddenly spotted an approaching officer... It's not so clever/lovely/interresting idea but what the heck. hehh The semmester is called "Body Mechanics" not "Body Lyrics". yah yah hhahha

A huge *kiss* and thanks goes to my Ana for her support and understanding of how much AM and animation in general means to me. I'm so happy to have you by my side, you little mouse of mine. :)
